Celebrating 150 Years
Most events will be on or near Main Street.
Schedule of Events:
** Designates new events or changes
5K Cemetery Run -- Registration starts @6:45 run starts @7:15 at Pamp's Convenience Store. See the GDays 5K Cemetery Run Facebook page for registration details or contact Nate Clevenger @660-651-8826.
**Paint & Sip -- 10:00am sponsored by the Mom's Group at the Christian Church. Pre-registration is required. Contact Jennifer Han @620-704-8778. Limited to 20 participants. Fee: $15.
**Open House -- 11:00-2:00 Galesburg Relief Fund lot across from the Middle School. Stop by and see the newest building in town and learn about the good works this local charity does for the area.
**Galesburg Story Project -- share stories about living in the Galesburg community, your family, etc. Rachel White will have an outdoor recording studio under a canopy near the vintage camper trailer west of the Community Center. Register at 620-212-2527 for a time Saturday: 10 am-noon and 2:30-4:00. Sunday: noon-4pm by appointment.
T-shirts will be for sale at the tent in the park and at Pamp's.
Galesburg Museum -- open noon-5:00. New displays added. Learn some of Galesburg's history as a thriving town in the early 1900's. Shaw equipment and photos, old farm tools, large corn sheller, old wagon, Skelly garage memorabilia, antique kitchen appliances and much more. Old museum is currently closed for repairs.
Quilt Show -- noon-5 at the United Methodist Church. Quilts, old, new and in between will be displayed on the church pews. If you have quilts you'd like to display, please contact Lucille Jansses @620-820-3821. Volunteers needed to help set up and take down displays and hot in one-hour shifts.
Food Trucks -- 11:30-5:30 near the Fire Station. Cold drinks and snacks provided by Newton's Concessions, El Gordo and Mojo's Shaved Ice.
Homemade Ice Cream -- noon-5:00 by Gary Dowling near the museum.
Power Wheel Race -- 12:30 at the park. Bring your Power Wheel or you can borrow ours to race. Kids age 2-10.
Bike Race -- following Power Wheel Race. Contact Jennifer Han @620-704-8778 for more info on these 2 events.
Galesburg Marketplace -- noon-5pm. Shop various crafters and direct sales vendors in booths outside the community center.
Inflatables -- Fun for kids from noon-5:30 in the Park. Spoonsored in part by Marshall Ranch, Larry & Lorrie Marshall.
New Games -- for kids of all ages and for the "young at heart" adults, sponsored by the Hillcrest 4-H Club at the Park. Bring your partner and join the fun.

Hot Mess Car Show -- Cars will participate in the parade, then be on display at 2nd & Main St. Contact Jared Han@620-778-4553 for more info.
**Decorated Bike Parade -- 4:00pm Line up at the Methodist Church to parade past the park. Each participate will receive a prize.
Parade -- 4:30pm. Theme: "Celebrating 150 Years". Parade entries will line up at the south end of the middle school at 4 pm. Prizes will be awarded for individual, family, commercial business and horse & rider.
National Anthem will be sung by Maria Clevenger when the Color Guard arrives at the park at the begining of the parade.
Egg Toss -- 5:30pm in the park Traveling trophy awarded.
Hog Roast -- 6:00pm in the park. Roast pork, salads, baked beans, buns, cookies and table service will be provided. A donation of $5 per person is requested. Bring lawn chairs. Sponsored in part by City of Galesburg and Pamp's.
Evening Entertainment -- 6:30-7:30: Dustin Treiber will entertain during the dinner. Sponsored in part by Midwest Hearing Aids.
Street Dance -- 8:00-11:00pm on the slab west of Pamp's Store. Live music by Big Smitty Band. Sponsored in part by Poor Boys Steakhouse.
Galesburg Days Celebration is funded entirely through donations from businesses and individuals. Your donations are greatly appreciated.
